Temporary Conditions

THE SHOP IS OVERWHELMED FORCING ME TO CHANGE MY HOURS and STOP TAKING IN NEW WORK for the time being.  I'm currently over 9 weeks behind .

UPDATE  as of January 25th 2026

I have recovered pretty well from the heart attack.  However the closure of Homewood Shoe Hospital 3 blocks away from me has overwhelmed the shop. Because of this I have had to reduce my hours to 3 days a week. (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) All of my repair time was being spent at the counter with customers bringing in new work and people constantly calling to check on their shoes (like they walked away or something?). I literally can't get anything repaired with these conditions and I am also not making any money because of this either.   I hope to change this back to normal in a few weeks. I will update the website when I do.

NEW HOURS ARE:

Monday -10:30am to 5:30pm

Tuesday - Closed

Wednesday -10:30am to 5:30pm

Thursday - Closed

Friday -10:30am to 5:30pm

Saturday - Closed

Sunday - Closed

What happened:

Monday Oct. 27th 2025 at 5:30am I (owner operator) Louis had a massive heart attack. 100% blockage in the widow maker and a 90% blockage found in another artery. God answered my prayer during this event and I am still alive!  My heart function has been reduced to 50% though and I have to take it very easy until I am well enough to start running the shop like I used to do.  Hopefully soon!

I am sorry for the delay in the current repairs.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.  Lou
