Because of medical reasons
THE SHOP IS RUNNING SLOW AND I HAD TO CHANGE MY HOURS
I'm currently over 6 weeks behind.
UPDATE January 6th 2026
I have recovered pretty well from the heart attack. However the closure of Homewood Shoe Hospital 3 blocks away has overwhelmed my shop. I have had to reduce my hours to 3 days during the week. All of my repair time is being spent at the counter with customers. Work is piling up and very few repairs are being made. This translates into ridiculous wait times for you and no money for me to get the bills paid.
NEW HOURS ARE:
Monday -10:30am to 5:30pm
Tuesday - Closed
Wednesday -10:30am to 5:30pm
Thursday - Closed
Friday -10:30am to 5:30pm
Saturday - Closed
Sunday - Closed
What happened:
Monday Oct. 27th at 5:30am I (owner operator) Louis had a massive heart attack. 100% blockage in the widow maker and a 90% blockage found in another artery that still has to be addressed. God answered my prayer during this event and I am still alive! My heart function has been reduced to 50% though and I have to take it very easy until I am well enough to start running the shop like I used to do. Hopefully soon!
I am sorry for the delay in the current repairs.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Lou
